PRODUCTS & SYSTEMS
Fyreguard have products and systems suitable for all Passive Fire protection applications. Products themselves are not a stand alone item, they form part of a tested system to meet the requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.
Listed below you will find Passive Fire Protection applications with a brief explanation of products and systems suitable for that application. If your specific need is not shown or your are in any doubt, please contact us to discuss your needs. We will be able to offer alternatives and suggestions to overcome construction constraints, price issues and lead times. New products are continually being introduced, developed and tested, while products have new applications tested on a regular basis.
If a product is not in our range Fyreguard will source it for you, or if more than one product can be used we will provide guidance to the advantages and disadvantages of each system including pricing and recommend what we feel to be the most appropriate for your application.
Overview of the BCA with respect to Fire Ratings
The BCA requires Fire Resistance Levels (FRL) to many elements of construction of a building. The type of fire rating and the period of time required is determined by such things as the purpose, number of levels and set back of the building and are therefore determined by the Class of Building and its required Type of construction.
If you do not find the application you require or are not sure if it meets your needs please do not hesitate to contact us.
